There are three categories of members, namely:-

 

Full Membership
Full members are drawn from any firm, company or corporation involved in the business of processing, refining and fractionation of palm oil. With 8 founder members in 1975, PORAM has expanded steadily in size and stature over the years. Today PORAM has full members representing more than 90% of the crude palm oil refined in the country.

 

 

Associate Membership
The Associate membership of PORAM was introduced in 1985. Any firm, company or corporation which is connected with the oils and fats trade, but not directly carrying out the business of processing, refining and fractionating of palm oil shall be categorised as Associate Member of PORAM. These include brokers, ship owners/shipbrokers, surveyors/analysts, international trading houses and dealers, bulking installations, etc.

 

 

Supplementary Membership
Any firm, company or corporation involved in palm oil processing and is an associate company, subsidiary or affiliation of any full member of PORAM is eligible to be admitted as a supplementary member of the Association
